2 Injured in Houston, TX, Car Accident at I-45 and Richey Road

Houston, TX -- February 2, 2017, two people were sent to the hospital following an accident in which a pickup rear-ended a car on I-45.

Emergency teams and Houston Police investigators were called out to the three-vehicle accident scene at around 11:30 p.m.

Near the intersection of I-45 and W Richey Road, there was a disabled vehicle on the side of the highway. A pickup driver reportedly attempted to avoid the vehicle, but ended up crashing into the back of it. After this, a third vehicle crashed into this accident.

EMS transported the drivers of the pickup and the disabled vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.

Police did not mention any charges or citations, and no word was given on why the vehicle was disabled on the road.

Investigations continue.
