One Injured in Conroe, TX, School Bus Accident on FM 1314

Conroe, TX -- February 2, 2017, a woman was injured due to an accident in which her vehicle crashed head-on with a school bus on FM 1314.

Authorities from the Conroe Police Department responded near the intersection of FM 1314 and TX-242. Their preliminary investigations indicate that a woman was traveling behind an ambulance in which her husband was apparently being transported.

It was reported that her vehicle, for reasons unknown, went into the opposite lanes of traffic, crossing paths with an oncoming Conroe ISD school bus. The two vehicles crashed head-on.

The woman was trapped inside of her vehicle and required extrication by rescue teams. Upon extraction, she was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Reports say no one on the bus was injured.

Authorities have not indicated what factors contributed to the crash. They say the accident remains under investigation.
