Man Injured in Jefferson County, TX, Rollover Accident on FM 1406

Jefferson County, TX -- February 2, 2017, a man sustained injuries due to an accident in which his vehicle lost control and crashed off of FM 1406.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Department officials were called out to the accident scene at around 2:45 p.m. Their reports say the crash happened near the intersection of FM 1406 and Highway 365, southwest of Beaumont.

According to their preliminary investigations, a man, whose identity wasn't released, was driving a silver Nissan down FM 1406. For reasons that unclear, the vehicle lost control and swerved off the side of the road. As it careened into a ditch, it overturned several times, eventually landing on its wheels.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Emergency services were able to transport him to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital. His injuries were said to be non-critical.

Authorities have not suggested any factors contributing to the crash. Their investigations are ongoing.
