Dozens Injured in Wichita, KS, School Bus Accident on Kellogg Dr.

Wichita, KS -- January 26, 2017, dozens of injuries were reported following an accident where two school buses collided on Kellogg Drive.

According to reports released by the Wichita Police Department, the accident occurred between two school buses traveling down Kellogg Drive. The two buses were carrying roughly 60 students from the L’Ouverture Computer Technology Magnet Elementary School.

Reports say the traffic near the I-135 interchange came to a slow down. The first bus slowed down, but the one behind it failed to. The rear bus crashed into the back of the other bus.

As a result of the collision, officials say that about 51 students reported minor injuries, but only one was reportedly taken to a hospital. Neither driver was injured.

Authorities did not report if any citations were issued at the scene. At this time, no further information is available.
