One Injured Bridgeport, WV, School Bus Accident on Johnson Avenue

Bridgeport, WV -- February 1, 2017, at least one person was injured as the result of an accident where a car and a school bus crashed on Johnson Avenue.

Authorities from the Bridgeport Police Department were called out to the accident scene at around 6:30 a.m.

Their preliminary investigations report that a Harrison County School bus was traveling along Johnson Avenue transporting an unspecified number of students. For reasons unclear, the bus crossed paths with a car on the road, and the two vehicles crashed into each other.

As a result of the collision, at least one person was transported to a hospital. Their condition was not specified, and it's unclear from which vehicle the person came.

At this time, authorities have not released any additional details surrounding the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
