One Killed in Truck Accident on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis, MN

Minneapolis, MN -- A two-vehicle collision between tractor-trailers left one unidentified person dead in the area of Minneapolis, MN.

Officials say the collision took place on I-94 about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

It appears the 36-year-old deceased victim was driving west on I-94 when his big rig lost control. The truck then jackknifed, slid down the roadway, colliding with second semi-truck. The vehicle then went into a ditch, and the trailer came to rest on top of the truck. The unidentified driver of the first truck was pinned within the wreckage, and was killed at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.

Officials are currently investigating the collision.
