Pilot Killed in Accidental Crash in Price, TX

Price, TX -- A plane crash in east Texas in the town of Price, TX left an unidentified victim dead Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

The report claims the crash took place about 120 miles southeast of Dallas.

It appears the deceased victim was piloting a single-engine Cessna when the plane collided with a wire. The collision with the cellphone tower guy wire cleaved the wing off. The plane went down nearly 100 yards from the point of contact. According to the report, the plane was in use as a patrol vehicle for pipelines.

The exact cause of the incident is unclear.

Authorities hope to learn more as the investigation concludes.
