Patrick Guzman Injured in Accident in Kleberg County, TX

Kleberg County, TX -- An incident involving a ruptured bus radiator left Volunteer Fire Department Chief Patrick Guzman with injuries in the area of Kleberg County, TX Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

It looks like Mr. Guzman was attempting to fix a school bus when the radiator for reasons unknown burst. Mr. Guzman reportedly received second-degree burns on portions of his arms and his chest. He was taken to a burn center in San Antonio, TX. His condition has not been determined.

The report claims Mr. Guzman is a volunteer Fire Chief, and is employed as a bus driver with Ricardo ISD.

The cause of the incident is unclear.

The report provided no further information at the time of its release.

The investigation is currently underway and authorities hope to learn more as it concludes.
