Paquito Cervantes, PJ Cacananta Injured in Kerrville, TX Accident

Kerrville, TX -- January 31, 2017, Paquito Cervantes and PJ Cacananta were injured following an accident in which their vehicle crashed off the highway.

Emergency response teams were called to the accident scene in the area of Kerrville along I-10. The accident occurred in the early morning hours.

According to authorities, 64-year-old Cervantes and 68-year-old Cacananta, residents of Baldwin Park, CA, were traveling down I-10 in a Toyota Sequoia. They were also hauling a 23-foot long boat being them at the time. For reasons unclear, the vehicle lost control and ran off the roadway. The vehicle overturned several times as a result.

Due to the crash, both occupants of the vehicle sustained critical injuries. Emergency services took both of them to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It's unclear exactly what caused the accident to occur. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
