1 Dead, 3 Injured in Davenport, IA, Car Accident at 2nd and Brady

Davenport, IA -- January 30, 2017, one person was killed and three others injured due to an accident where three cars crashed at 2nd and Brady.

Davenport Police officials have yet to release the identity of the fatally injured victim. They say the collision occurred in the night hours of Monday.

Their preliminary investigations claim that Laura Kelly, of Alvarado, TX, was driving a Dodge pickup eastbound on 2nd Street. The pickup reportedly crashed into two vehicles at a red light, a Chevy and a Buick.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Chevy sustained fatal injuries. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Kelly and two others were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though their injuries were not specified.

At this time, authorities have not said what factors contributed to the accident. They say the crash remains under investigation.
