Yudelsy Vasquez, Dalia Rodriguez Dead, Danis Hernandez, Yusneivy Contreras, Child Injured in Goodwell, OK Accident

Goodwell, OK -- January 30, 2017, Yudelsy Vasquez, Dalia Rodriguez died, Danis Hernandez, Yusneivy Contreras, and a child injured in a car accident.

According to reports released by the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the afternoon hours about 2 miles southwest of Goodwell.

Police reports say that 26-year-old Hernandez was driving a car southbound on US 54. In the vehicle was 40-year-old Contreras, 37-year-old Vasquez, 55-year-old Rodriguez, and a 5-year-old child. Al passengers were from Dumas, TX.

For reasons not entirely clear, the vehicle lost control and swerved off the roadway. It flipped over repeatedly before eventually coming to rest on its roof.

During the crash, both Vasquez and Rodriguez were ejected from the vehicle. They sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The other three occupants were all taken to different hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not reported any citations or charges resulting from the crash. They say the accident remains under investigation.
