Two Killed, Ryan Gary Renz Hurt in Alleged DUI Accident in Campo, CA

Campo, CA -- A suspected alcohol related incident in the area of Campo, CA left two dead and one person, Ryan Gary Renz, with injuries Thursday, January 26, 2017.

It looks like the vehicle containing the victims was headed south on Buckman Springs Road about 7 p.m. when the incident took place. The Volkswagen reportedly careened off the road, striking an oak tree. One passenger in the back seat was thrown from the vehicle. Another occupant was trapped within the wreckage. Both passengers were killed at the scene of the incident. The driver of the car, Ryan Gary Renz, was left with minor injuries.

The cause of the incident has not been determined, but police say they believe alcohol was involved.

Mr. Renz faces multiple charges related to the incident.

The investigation is currently underway and may reveal more details as it unfolds.
