Thomas Sincere Killed, Two Hurt in Accidental House Fire in Odessa, TX

Odessa, TX -- A house fire claimed the life of 9-month-old Thomas Sincere, and left two hurt on Lauderdale Avenue about 2:30 in the area of Odessa, TX Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Officials arrived at the scene to find the house ablaze. One police officer on the scene, Sergeant Jon Foust, ran into the fiery home, and required treatment for smoke inhalation. Despite Mr. Foust's attempt to save the boy, 9-month-old Thomas Sincere died from his injuries. The boy's father was injured in the incident, and was last listed in critical condition. The cause of the incident is unclear, but the report claims witnesses smelled natural gas prior to the fire.

The investigation is currently underway and may reveal more details as it concludes.
