Marquese Earls Hurt in Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Accident in Austin, TX

Austin, TX -- A pedestrian vs. vehicle collision left 5-year-old Marquese Earls with injuries Friday, January 27, 2017 in the area of Austin, TX.

The collision took place on Webberville Road in the area of East 12th Street.

The victim and his brothers were walking to Oak Springs Elementary when young Marquese was struck by a car. The force of the collision launched the boy up to 5 feet in the air. The incident left Marquese with a severe concussion, and multiple scars and bruises. The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene of the incident. The cause of the collision has not been determined.

The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
