Loren Keim Killed in Accident in Phillips, ME

Phillips, ME -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck left 21-year-old Loren Keim dead in the area of Phillips, ME Saturday, January 28, 2017.

The incident took place at Rangeley and Weld Roads about 6:57 a.m.

The report claims Mr. Keim's Ford Ranger passed through the intersection, colliding with a semi-truck. It appears the vehicle occupied by the victim struck the axles of the semi. Mr. Keim was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the incident has not been determined. The driver of the truck, Richard Giles, 61, was uninjured in the collision.

Officials are currently examining the details of the incident.
