Man Injured in San Antonio, TX, Seizure Accident on I-37

San Antonio, TX -- January 31, 2017, a man was injured following an accident where he experienced a seizure and crashed his 18-wheeler on I-37.

Investigators from the San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff's Department reported on the single-vehicle accident. They say it occurred in the morning hours near the intersection of I-37 and Mathis Road.

Their reports indicate that the driver of an 18-wheeler suffered a seizure while driving, causing the vehicle to swerve off the roadway. As a result, it crashed into a tree and came to a halt.

The suffered unspecified injuries in the collision, and EMS transported him to a local hospital via helicopter. His current condition is unknown.

Authorities did not indicate any other extenuating circumstances surrounding the accident. No additional details are available.
