Man Killed in Subway Train Accident near Grand Avenue in Queens, NY

Queens, NY -- An incident involving a subway train claimed the life of an unidentified man Friday, January 27, 2017 in the area of Queens, NY.

The report claims the man was standing at Grand Avenue-Newton station awaiting a train when the incident took place.

It appears the northbound train, pulling to a stop, collided with the man, slamming his head. The collision caused the man to be pinned between the train and the platform. The man was killed at the scene of the incident.

The cause of the incident has not been determined, but police say they believe the man may have been drunk.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
