Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Highway 50 in Howard, CO

Howard, CO -- A pedestrian vs. vehicle collision claimed the life of an unidentified man in the area of Howard, CO Friday, January 27, 2017.

The incident took place on Highway 50 about 7:15 p.m.

It appears a Dodge Durango was eastbound on 50 when it struck a pedestrian. Though the driver stopped to aid the victim, the pedestrian died at the scene. The cause of the incident has not been determined. The driver, Christopher Monroe, was not facing charges at the time of the report. The victim's identity has not been divulged.

The official investigation is currently underway.
