Alfonso Armendariz Killed in El Paso, TX, Motorcycle Accident

El Paso, TX -- January 28, 2017, Alfonso Armendariz was killed following an accident where his motorcycle lost control and crashed.

26-year-old Armendariz was reportedly riding his Harley-Davidson northbound on Copia Street near the intersection of Hueco Avenue. The incident occurred at around 10:00 p.m.

According to authorities, the motorcycle somehow lost control while traveling down Copia, causing the vehicle to swerve off-road. Due to this, the motorcycle crashed into a utilities pole on the side of the road. Armendariz was ejected from the motorcycle where he sustained critical injuries.

EMS officials say Armendariz died at the scene. No other people were involved in the accident.

Police have not confirmed what factors were involved in the crash. They say the accident remains under investigation.
