Werner Morawitz Injured in Sun Valley, ID, Garbage Truck Accident

Sun Valley, ID -- January 17, 2017, Werner Morawitz was injured following an accident in which his vehicle collided with a garbage truck.

Officials from the Sun Valley Police Department reported on the accident which occurred along Dollar Road. Their indicates state that 51-year-old Morawitz was traveling down Dollar at around noon. As his Toyota SUV was passing an oncoming garbage truck, the two vehicles somehow crossed paths. They collided into each other head-on.

As a result of the collision, Morawitz sustained unspecified injuries, for which he was transported to St. Luke's Wood River Hospital. The garbage truck driver was not injured.

Authorities did not indicate how the accident occurred. They say the crash remains under investigation. No further details are currently available.
