Three Hurt in Suspected DUI Accident at 24 Mile Road in Shelby Township, MI

Shelby Township, MI -- An alleged alcohol related collision left three people with injuries in the area of Shelby Township, MI Thursday, January 26, 2017.

The collision took place on 24 Mile Road about 4:35 p.m.

It looks like a vehicle, driven by an unidentified 65-year-old , veered over the center line, striking a second vehicle. The occupants of the second vehicle, 46-year-old woman, and her 8-year-old daughter, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The 65-year-old woman was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. Her condition is unclear.

Officials have not determined the cause of the collision, but say they believe alcohol was a factor.

The official investigation is ongoing.
