2 Injured, Nelson Privette Charged in Winnsboro, TX, Accident

Winnsboro, TX -- January 25, 2017, two people were injured in an accident where their car crashed head-on with Nelson Privette, arrested after the crash.

Winnsboro authorities responded to the accident scene in the evening hours of Wednesday near the intersection of Highway 11 and FM 3019.

Authorities say that 20-year-old Privette was driving recklessly down the highway. As he was weaving through traffic, his vehicle crossed paths with an oncoming vehicle carrying a married couple. The two cars crashed head-on with each other.

The couple, along with Privette, were taken to CHRISTUS Mother Francis Winnsboro with various injuries. Following this, authorities arrested Privette with charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

At this time, no additional details have been reported.
