Worker Injured in Robinson, TX, Trench Collapse Accident

Robinson, TX -- January 26, 2017. a construction worker was injured as the result of an accident near Hunton Lane where a trench collapsed.

Robinson police and emergency crews were called out to the construction site which was located near Hunton Lane at around 11:30 a.m.

According to early reports, a worker was part of a crew digging a trench in order to lay down a sewer line. For reasons that haven't been made clear, the trench suddenly collapsed, trapping the worker in the process.

The man had to wait for emergency crews to extricate him from the trench. Upon doing so, he was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were not specified.

At this time, authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident. No further details are currently available.
