Man Hurt by 1,000 lb. Hay Bale in Dalton, GA Work Accident

Dalton, GA -- An incident at recycling plant in Dalton, GA injured an unidentified man Thursday, January 26, 2017.

The incident took place at 1001 Chatanooga Avenue at the Columbia Recycling Corporation.

The details of the incident are sparse, but officials believe the man was crushed by a 1,00 lb hay bale. Rescue units arrived at the scene to find the victim with undisclosed injuries. Their identity has yet to be disclosed. There was no mention of other injuries related to the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
