Woman Hurt in Lago Vista, TX, Drunk Driving Accident on FM 1431

Lago Vista, TX -- January 23, 2017, a woman was injured in an accident where alleged drunk driver Jordan Walker caused an accident on FM 1431.

Lago Vista authorities were called to the accident scene around 8:00 p.m. just south of the Lohman Ford Road intersection.

According to witness testimony, 21-year-old Walker was traveling westbound on the roadway in a Dodge Dakota. As he did so, the vehicle drifted over into eastbound traffic lanes, causing it to side-swipe an oncoming Ford F-150. The pickup swerved to the side of the road as a result, and a Chevy Cobalt, driven by a 74-year-old woman, collided into the back of the Ford.

Following the accident, the woman suffered unspecified injuries. She was taken to Round Rock Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries occurred.

Authorities determined that Walker showed signs of intoxication at the scene. He was placed under arrest with a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Investigations are ongoing.
