One Killed in Truck Accident at US 90 in Jeanerette, LA

Jeanerette, LA -- A two-vehicle incident in the area of Jeanerette, LA claimed the life of an unidentified man Wednesday, January 24, 2017.

The collision happened at US 90.

It looks like one of the tractor-trailers was stopped at a railroad crossing. Within moments, a second big rig collided with the stopped semi. The report claims there were no crossing gates at the scene of the incident. The driver of the second truck, whose name has not been revealed, was killed in the collision. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The cause of the incident is unclear.

Authorities are examining the details of the collision in the hopes of determining the cause.
