Woman Dies in McKinney, TX, House Fire Accident on Norfolk Lane

McKinney, TX -- January 25, 2017, a woman was fatally injured as the result of an accident where her house on Norfolk Lane caught fire.

Officials from the McKinney Fire Department responded to the accident scene at around 3:30 a.m. The house is located in the 9300 block of Norfolk in a neighborhood off of Virgina Parkway and Custer Road.

According to preliminary reports, rescue teams entered the house and found the woman with critical injuries due to the fire. They transported her from the scene in an ambulance for treatment at a local hospital. Reports say she died on the way to the hospital.

Authorities have not said whether or not any other occupants of the house were harmed during the fire. The cause of the fire is also under investigation at this time.
