Woman Injured in Waco, TX, Rollover Accident on Loop 340

Waco, TX -- January 19, 2017, a woman was injured as the result of an accident in which her vehicle overturned on Loop 340.

Investigators from the Waco Police Department responded to the two-vehicle accident scene between the intersections of Imperial Drive and the I-35 service road.

According to preliminary reports, a woman was driving an SUV down Loop 340 in an area where an earlier accident was creating traffic issues. For reasons that are unclear, a truck somehow collided into her SUV, causing it to swerve off-road and overturn onto the median.

As a result of the collision, the woman suffered injuries that authorities say were non-life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities did not elaborate on the details of the crash, nor did they say if charges or citations were being considered. Their investigations are ongoing.
