Matthew Phillips & Ela Johnson Injured in Accident in Jasper, TX

Jasper, TX -- A two-vehicle collision left 42-year-old Matthew Phillips and 54-year-old Ela Johnson injured in the area of Jasper, TX Tuesday, January 24, 2017.

The incident took place at the Highway 190 Dam B Bridge near Jasper and Woodville.

Mr. Phillips was reportedly headed east when his vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Ms. Johnson. Mr. Phillips was reportedly stopped at a light, where the incident occurred. The two injured drivers were taken to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital, and allegedly sustained minor injuries.

The official investigation is ongoing.
