John, Mage Rosales, Bernice Rivera Dead in Bastrop County, TX, Accident

Bastrop County, TX -- January 25, 2017, Bernice Rivera and John and Mage Rosales were killed after an accident where their vehicle crashed off of FM 2104.

Bastrop County authorities were called out to the fatal accident scene at around 8:30 a.m. The location of the accident was the intersection of FM 2104 and Coyote Trail Lane.

According to preliminary investigations, John and Mage, both 60, and 52-year-old Rivera were all in a single vehicle that was traveling down FM 2104. For reasons unclear, the car lost control and veered off of the roadway. As a result, it swerved through a fence and and crashed head-on into a tree.

All three occupants suffered fatal injuries in the collision and were pronounced dead at the scene. At least two of them were confirmed to be wearing seatbelts at the time.

Authorities have yet to determine what factors led to the crash. They believe a medical emergency may have caused the crash, but this remains under investigation. No additional details are available.
