11-year-old Cheerleader Injured in Sienna Plantation, TX Accident

Sienna Plantation, TX -- January 24, 2017, a cheerleader was seriously injured following an accident that occurred during a practice session.

Authorities from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department were called to the scene of an accident at around 8:00 p.m. At this time, the particular location of the incident has not been specified.

Current reports indicate that the 11-year-old girl was at cheerleading practice that evening. During the course of the practice, an accident somehow occurred that inflicted serious injuries to the girl.

The nature of the injuries required a helicopter to transport the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Her exact condition was not specified.

It would appear the girl was the only person injured. No further information is currently available. Authorities say that the accident remains under investigation.
