Man Killed, One Hurt in Truck Accident on U.S. 301 in Lawtey, FL

Lawtey, FL -- A collision between two trucks claimed the life of an unidentified 44-year-old Hernando, FL man on U.S. 301 in the area of Lawtey, FL.

The incident took place at 301 and Mosley Rd. about 1:34 p.m.

The report claims the semi-truck was northbound on 301, followed by the box truck. It appears the semi attempted a right turn on to Mosley, when the box truck and the semi collided.

The driver of the box truck, the resident of Hernando, FL, was killed at the scene of the incident.

The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries.
