Justin L. Romaniuk Killed, Debra Lee Grimes Hurt in Accident in Gerry, NY

Chautauqua, NY -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a USA Coach Bus claimed the life of 20-year-old Justin L. Romaniuk and left 61-year-old Debra Lee Grimes in Gerry, NY.

It appears the two vehicles collided on Route 60 about 9 a.m.

Mr. Romaniuk was reportedly traveling southbound on Route 60 when his vehicle crashed with the northbound bus. Mr. Romaniuk was trapped within the wreckage, and required extrication from the vehicle. He sustained serious blunt force injuries in the incident, and was killed at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the bus, 61-year-old Debra Lee Grimes, was left with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the incident had yet to be determined by the time of the report.

Officials are investigating the details of the incident in the hopes of determining the cause.
