Man Killed in Alleged DUI Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- A suspected drunk driving incident took the life of an unidentified man Monday, January 23, 2017 in the area of Houston, TX.

The incident reportedly took place near 10100 Southwest Freeway about 12:40 a.m.

It appears the deceased 44-year-old male was the passenger in a car driven by 42-year-old Rodney Prejean. At some point the passenger struck Mr. Prejean in the face, and then proceeded to either jump or fall from the moving vehicle. Mr. Prejean stopped the vehicle and remained at the scene of the incident. The driver, it is claimed, admitted to authorities he was intoxicated. He (Mr. Prejean) also claimed the passenger was under the influence of narcotics.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
