Lindra Fondren Injured in Groveton, TX, Tree Fall Accident

Groveton, TX -- January 22, 2017, Lindra Fondren was injured following an accident in which a tree fell on top of her vehicle while driving.

According to reports release by the Texas Department of Public Safety, 68-year-old Fondren was traveling down TX-94 at the time of the accident. As she drove, high winds reportedly caused a dead tree to fall over, and it landed on top of Fondren's vehicle, crushing the roof.

As a result of the accident, Fondren suffered several broken bones. Emergency services came to the scene and transported her to a local hospital. However, due to a metal allergy, she required special treatment in order to undergo surgery for her injuries.

Her current condition has not been reported at this time. Authorities say their investigations into the crash are ongoing.
