Man Killed in Alleged DUI Accident on I-10 Access Road in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX -- An alleged alcohol related incident near Zavala Road claimed the life of an unidentified homeless man Monday, January 23, 2017.

It looks like the vehicle occupied by the alleged drunk driver was traveling the I-10 access road when it jumped the curb. The vehicle then struck a bus bench, hitting the deceased victim. The vehicle then reportedly dragged the man, eventually running him over. The man was killed at the scene of the incident.

The vehicle then rolled over, coming to rest against a fence.

The driver required extrication from the vehicle, and was last listed in critical condition.

The cause of the incident is unclear, but police claim they believe alcohol was a factor. The driver faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter related to the incident.

The official investigation is currently underway.
