Rebecca Badenhop Killed in Little Rock, AR, Pedestrian Accident

Little Rock, AR -- January 17, 2017, Rebecca Badenhop was killed following an accident in which she was struck by a police cruiser while walking.

28-year-old Badenhop was walking in the area of Baseling Road and I-30, just outside a Walmart Supercenter. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m.

According to Little Rock Police, Badenhop was walking in the area when a police cruiser traveling eastbound on Baseline collided into her. It's unclear exactly where in the roadway Badenhop was walking, and authorities have not said who had the light at the time.

As a result of the incident, Badenhop suffered critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for intensive care. She eventually died in the hospital.

The officer involved has not been identified and has been placed on leave for the time being.

At this time, no further information has been released.
