Student Injured in Henderson County, TX, Bus Accident on FM 315

Henderson County, TX -- January 20, 2017, one student was injured following an accident where a school bus and a van crashed on FM 315.

According to Henderson County officials, the accident took place at around 3:40 p.m. Their reports indicate that a Brownsboro ISD school bus was carrying students southbound on FM 315.

Their reports state that a van in front of the bus slowed down in order to make a left turn. The bus could slow down in time, and the driver swerved to try and avoid a collision. The maneuver was not successful, and the bus crashed into the back of the van.

Following the collision, one elementary student suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the bus, Danny Hardin, was cited for failing to control speed. No further information has been reported.
