Robert Frith Killed in Whitefield, ME Dump Truck Accident

Whitefield, ME -- A single-vehicle crash involving a dump truck claimed the life of 62-year-old Robert Frith in Whitefield, ME Friday, January 20, 2017.

It looks like the truck was hauling gravel on Doyle Road around 1:30 p.m. when the incident took place. The vehicle reportedly veered off the roadway, colliding with a tree in the area of 258 Doyle. It was unclear what caused the vehicle to lose control at the time of the report. Authorities have yet to determine the victim's official cause of death.

Authorities are currently investigating the details of the incident in the hopes of determining a cause.

Due to the immediacy of the incident, the report provided no further information at the time of its release.
