4 Injured in Houston, TX, Alief ISD School Bus Accident

Houston, TX -- January 20, 2017, four people were injured as the result of an accident between an Alief ISD school bus and a car.

According to preliminary reports by the Houston Police Department, the collision occurred at around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Dairy Ashford Road and Belfort Boulevard.

Investigators stated that a Alief ISD school bus was carrying Elsik High School students down Dairy Ashford. The school bus somehow crossed paths with a car carrying four teenagers. The two vehicles collided as a result.

Following the crash, emergency services came to the scene to examine those involved. They sent the four teenagers from the car to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one on-board the bus was injured.

At this time, no charges or citations have been reported. Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
