Robert Ninehouser Killed in Aspinwall, PA, Pedestrian Accident

Aspinwall, PA -- January 17, 2017, Robert Ninehouser was killed following an accident where he was struck by a car after getting off a bus.

Preliminary reports indicate that 63-year-old Ninehouser was riding on a bus that had stopped at the corner of Western Avenue and Freeport Road. This happened at around 8:00 p.m.

Ninehouser and a group of other passengers exited the bus. Witnesses say that Ninehouser attempted to cross the roadway, putting him into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The driver could not stop in time, and it struck him in the roadway.

Ninehouser was critically injured in the accident, and EMS rushed him to UPMC for treatment. He eventually died there.

At this time, authorities have not issued any charges or citation. Their investigations are ongoing.
