Christopher Pickett, David Klahn Killed in Lowell, IN, Accident

Lowell, IN -- January 10, 2017, Christopher Pickett and David Klahn were killed following an accident in which their vehicle ran off the road and crashed.

Lowell authorities report that the fatal single-vehicle accident took place along Cline Avenue, just north of Freedom Park.

According to preliminary investigations, 30-year-old Pickett, the driver, and 44-year-old Klahn, the passenger, were traveling southbound on Cline in a Toyota pickup. Witnesses say the pickup suddenly lost control, causing it to swerve off the side of the road.

The vehicle then collided into a tree and overturned repeatedly before hitting several other obstacles and finally coming to a stop.

Authorities have not indicated exactly what caused the vehicle to lose control. They say the crash remains under investigation.
