Thay Torres-Ocacio Killed, Manuel Hernandez, Thomas Martinez, Jesus Ponce Injured in Accident in Liberal, KS

Liberal, KS -- A single-vehicle incident claimed the life of 35-year-old Thay Torres-Ocacio and left Manuel Hernandez, Thomas Martinez, and Jesus Ponce with with injuries in Liberal, KS.

Sources say the vehicle containing the victims was headed west on U.S. 54 when the incident took place. It appears the vehicle, for reasons unknown, lost control while crossing an overpass. The vehicle then skidded into a ditch, rolling several times and landing on the driver's side. One person, Thay Torres-Ocacio, was killed, while Mr. Hernandez, Mr. Martinez, and Mr. Ponce were left with injuries.

The official investigation is currently underway and may reveal more details as it concludes.
