Robert Sweeny Injured in Accident near Jasper, TX

Jasper, TX -- A single-vehicle incident in the area of Jasper, TX left 40-year-old Robert Sweeny with injuries Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

It appears the vehicle occupied by the injured victim was northbound on Highway 96 North when the incident happened. It appears the truck lost control, collided with a second vehicle, rolling over in the median. Officials are examining the details of the incident and hope to determine the cause as it concludes. There was no mention of other injuries in the collision. The nature of Mr. Sweeny's injuries and his condition had not been disclosed.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
