Jose Zavala Killed in Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- A vehicle vs. pedestrian incident in the area of Houston, TX about 9:30 p.m. claimed the life of 39-year-old Jose Zavala Thursday, January 19, 2017.

Sources say the victim was discovered in the area of 13300 Regal Oaks Bend.

The details of the incident are unclear, but police say they believe Mr. Zavala may have been struck by a vehicle. Mr. Zavala was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. Police say the victim sustained head trauma in the incident.

Officials were investigating the details of the incident in the hopes of getting a clearer picture as to what occurred.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at its release.
