One Killed in Five-Car Accident on SW Freeway in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- A five-car collision on the Southwest Freeway left one unidentified victim dead Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the area of Houston, TX about 2:30 a.m.

The details of the incident are unclear, but the report claims the incident shut down a large portion of the freeway for several hours. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin. There was no mention of other injuries related to the incident. It is unclear what caused the deadly crash at this time.

Officials are investigating the details of the incident at this time.
