Edgardo Ulises Garcia Killed in Accident in Rowan, NC

Rowan, NC -- A work incident took the life of 45-year-old Edgardo Ulises Garcia in Rowan, NC Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at T.H. Davis Scrap Metal.

It is believed the man was running a piece of equipment when he exited the vehicle. The equipment reportedly lurched forward, pinning the man against a storage bin. It appears the man was killed at the scene of the incident. The official cause of Mr. Garcia's death had not been determined. The incident took place at T.H. Davis Scrap about 3 p.m.

Officials are examining the details of the incident in the hopes of determining the cause.

The report left no further information regarding the incident that claimed the life of Mr. Garcia.
