Dennis Lynch Killed in Monroe, GA, Dump Truck Accident

Monroe, GA -- January 13, 2017, Dennis Lynch was killed following an accident in which his vehicle crashed head-on with a dump truck.

Walton County and Monroe authorities were called to the scene of the accident just after 12:00 p.m. The crash occurred near the intersection of East Spring Street and Blaine Street.

According to early reports, Lynch was driving a vehicle along Spring Street at the time. As he did so, his vehicle and an oncoming dump truck somehow crossed paths with one another. They crashed into each other head-on, inflicting serious damage to both vehicles. A third vehicle was also involved in the accident.

Following the crash, Lynch had critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead. It's unclear if any other injuries occurred.

Authorities did not indicate any charges or citations resulting from the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
