John Hanen Killed in Milan, MO

Milan, MO -- A head-on collision between a passenger vehicle and tractor-trailer took the life of 36-year-old John Hanen Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

It appears the SUV and the tractor-trailer collided as the SUV was headed southbound on Highway 5 in Milan, MO. It is unclear what caused Wednesday's incident. Mr. Hanen was killed at the scene of the collision. Mark Phippen, the 35-year-old driver of the big rig, was left uninjured in the incident.

The official investigation is currently underway and may reveal more details as it concludes.
