Armando Piemonte Killed in Truck Accident in Lockport, IL

Lockport, IL -- A collision between a passenger car and a tow truck left 45-year-old Armando Piemonte dead in the area of Lockport, IL Monday, January 16, 2017.

It appears Mr. Piemonte was the occupant of a vehicle traveling along N. State Street about 6:21 p.m. The report claims the victim was southbound on N. State Street near the 500 block when his vehicle collided with a tow truck. Mr. Piemonte was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. He was declared dead a short time later. The exact cause of the incident was unclear at the time of the report.

The unidentified 55-year-old driver of the tow truck was uninjured in the incident.

Authorities are examining the details of the incident and hope to establish a cause as it concludes.
